You can use a variety of techniques to add snippets to your document.
Start typing the name of the snippet in your document, and then use the Completion menu to choose the snippet you want to insert; see The Completion Menu to learn more.
Click a snippet in the Snippets view to select it, and then click Insert at the bottom of the view or press the Enter key.
Double-click a snippet in the Snippets view.
After you insert a snippet, you may edit its text in your document, and you may want to see how the text you edited differs from the snippet you originally inserted. To compare text you select in your document to a selected snippet, choose “Compare Selection to Snippet” from the Options pop‑up menu at the bottom of the Snippets view.
