Understanding Snippets

Snippets are useful for quickly inserting text you use often. You create snippets from text you select in a document. Snippets you create in one document can be used in any of your other documents. Snippets can be as long as you’d like, but it’s a good idea to limit them to a few sentences.

Snippets are available in Word 2010 and later.
