Highlighting and Underlining
Contract Tools highlights or underlines a variety of items in your document.
These items are highlighted all the time:
Drafting errors (see Proofreading Documents to learn more)
Search results (see Finding Text to learn more)
These items are highlighted or underlined when you select text:
Defined terms and cross-references you can navigate by double-clicking (see Navigating Documents to learn more)
Instances of a selected defined term (see Working with Defined Terms to learn more)
Inline list markers like (a) (b) (c) and (i) (ii) (iii) and proviso markers like provided however and provided, further (see Working with Inline Lists and Proviso Lists to learn more)
Amounts of money, durations, dates, and times of day (see Finding Numbers, Amounts of Money, and Dates and Times to learn more)
Matched parentheses and brackets
Note: Highlighting and underlining do not change your document in any way.
To customize highlighting and underlining, show the Contract Tools pane, click the Preferences button, and then use the Highlighting & Underlining controls.
