Managing Cross-References
You can use the Cross-References view to manage cross-references. To show the Cross-References view, click the Cross-References button at the top of the Contract Tools pane.
To sort cross-references by referenced item, count, or location, click one of the buttons at the top left of the view.
To show all cross-references or a kind of cross-reference, use the Show pop‑up menu at the top left of the view.
To convert text in cross-references to fields, click “Convert to Fields” at the top right of the view; see Converting Text in Cross-References to Fields to learn more.
To go to a cross-reference, click a cross-reference in the view. You can also use the Previous and Next buttons to go to cross-references; see The Context Button; the Previous and Next Buttons to learn more.
To find cross-references to unknown items, sort the Cross-References view by item or count, and then click the disclosure triangle next to Unknown. You can also use the Issues pop‑up menu; see The Issues Pop‑Up Menu to learn more.
To go to the item to which a cross-reference refers, sort the Cross-References view by location, and then click the arrow to the right of the cross-reference. To learn about other ways to go to the item to which a cross-reference refers, see Navigating Documents.
